About Casualties Espresso

Let me introduce you to Casualties Espresso, a laid-back cafe that feels instantly familiar the moment you walk in, especially if you enjoy places that balance great coffee with an easygoing local vibe. Tucked away at 23 Clarence St in Port Macquarie, this spot has become one of those places people quietly recommend when they want something reliable but never boring. Casualties Espresso leans into the kind of cafe experience where you can slow down with a smooth coffee or grab a quick bite without any fuss, and that flexibility is part of its charm. The menu keeps things approachable, offering well-made coffee, small plates that work just as well for sharing or solo snacking, and vegetarian options that don’t feel like an afterthought. Service options are another reason it fits into so many routines, because you can settle in for a relaxed dine-in visit, enjoy outdoor seating when the weather is right, or swing by for takeaway when time is tight. Delivery is also available, which makes it easy to keep your day moving while still enjoying something familiar. What stands out most is how the space feels welcoming without trying too hard, creating a comfortable rhythm for regulars and first-time visitors alike. It’s the kind of cafe where conversations flow easily, laptops don’t feel out of place, and coffee breaks stretch a little longer than planned. The atmosphere suits casual catch-ups, solo downtime, and spontaneous visits, while the overall pace stays calm and unpretentious. Flavors are clean, portions feel just right, and the experience stays consistent, which is often what people look for in a neighborhood cafe. Whether you’re meeting a friend, easing into the morning, or just looking for a dependable cafe in the heart of Port Macquarie, Casualties Espresso fits naturally into the day and keeps things simple, flavorful, and refreshingly unpretentious.

Great food and smooth coffee. I had a bacon and egg roll and a large cappachino, and it was sensational. If you're visiting Port Macquarie, don't miss having one of these! I'm serious - they use their own sauce, and it's got a subtle zing to it that develops as I you stuff this good sized burger into your mouth. They even give you a serated knife to cut it in half, so you can eat it sensibly.(Casualties is on the site of the old ambulance station, so don't be scared by the name...) Breakfast cost $19.50, which is very reasonable considering the amount of food, the quick and friendly service, and the large cup of coffee. The seats (metal stools) are comfy, and the cafe is in town and close to everything. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo before breakfast was consimed.. Sorry. Definitely 5 out of 5.

What a nice place, coffee is beautiful and technically done correctly. Beautiful long black. The owners are lovely and friendly. No power point to charge phones/laptop also no bathrooms inside, the closest one is across the road. In saying that, I recommend this lovely cafe. Good vibes and great coffee. God bless you

First time i found Raisin Bread and somebody happy to apply Vegemite to my toast.. Cute little corner cafe, will come back to try more food. Seating is limited, so if you are looking for taking away coffee and food you would be right to come here. Maybe the outside dining wasn't set up, hence limited seats today, ... It had been raining early.

Lovely coffee and breakfast. I got a decaf which was delicious and the iced long black was really tasty too. Fresh avocado and delicious eggs! Wouldn’t hesitate to come back
